Russia claims mines found on Belgian tanker at Ust-Luga port

Russia's FSB said it prevented a terror attack by discovering magnetic mines on the Arrhenius gas carrier that arrived from Belgium at Ust-Luga port in Leningrad region on Monday. The agency reported the mines contained approximately 7 kilograms of explosives each.

According to Russian authorities, the devices were attached to the vessel's hull. The claim was made by the FSB, Russia's domestic security service. Such allegations have become frequent in Russian narratives regarding Western-bound cargo, though independent verification of such claims is typically limited.
