Second Russian Oreshnik Missile Likely Failed During Attack on Ukraine – ISW
The Institute for the Study of War reported that a second Russian Oreshnik intermediate-range ballistic missile probably malfunctioned and crashed in occupied Donetsk during Russia's May 23-24 strikes on Ukraine. If confirmed, the failure rate would reach 25 percent for this weapon system used throughout the war.
The ISW assessment suggests ongoing technical issues with Russia's Oreshnik missiles, which Moscow has positioned as a key component of its arsenal.
